After 18 months of building work, the end is approaching and we will soon be able to take possession of our lovely new facilities.
A few weeks ago the timber frame of the new training suite was delivered over the Clarence Row wall. Fortunately the weather held until the roof was completed. There is still a fair distance to go before the site looks like the architects’ impression but we are looking forward to the building being handed over.

We would like to thank all our visitors, volunteers and partners for bearing with us whilst we have been operating from a building site.
New opening hours
The arrangement for pre-booked volunteers on Mondays has worked well during our restricted opening and we will continue with this arrangement following our opening hours consultation. Our new opening hours will be implemented from 3rd September:
- Mondays – 10.00 – 4.00 – pre-booked volunteers only
- Tuesdays – Fridays – 9.00 – 4.30pm
- Saturdays – 9.00 – 4.30pm (first of each month) beginning with Saturday 6 October.
We’re holding an Open Day on Sunday 2nd September, 10am – 4pm, as one of the opening events of this year’s Gloucester History Festival. Everyone is invited to see the new Heritage Hub and gain a snapshot of the activities taking place there. The Rugby Club have kindly agreed to provide free parking for the event.
Gloucester History Festival takes place from 1st – 16th September in venues throughout the city. Tickets are now on sale. For full programme details visit https://gloucesterhistoryfestival.co.uk/
